Educational vs Real Market DataEducational vs Real Market Data

🎯 Learning objectiveLearning objective

Recognise simulated, illustrative, historical and live data — and why the label matters.Simulated, illustrative, historical aur live data pehchano — aur label kyun zaroori hai.

📖 LessonLesson

Every chart or number you see in a lesson belongs to one of four types:

TypeWhat it meansUsed in this course?
SimulatedGenerated by a computer model to show a conceptYes — most exercises
IllustrativeSimplified, hypothetical numbers in an exampleYes — worked examples
HistoricalReal past market dataOnly when properly licensed, with the source shown
Live / delayedCurrent exchange dataNot in lessons; requires data agreements

Simulated prices can differ from real markets: real trading has bid–ask spreads, slippage, sudden news, liquidity gaps and costs. That is why a strategy that looks perfect in a simulator may behave differently with real money.

Rule: always check the label. In SmaartAlgos lessons, examples are marked “Hypothetical” or “Simulated”.

Lesson me dikhne wala har chart ya number in 4 types me se ek hota hai:

TypeMatlabIs course me?
SimulatedConcept dikhane ke liye computer model se banaHaan — zyadatar exercises
IllustrativeExample me simple, hypothetical numbersHaan — worked examples
HistoricalAsli purana market dataSirf licence ke saath, source ke saath
Live / delayedExchange ka current dataLessons me nahi; data agreement chahiye

Simulated prices real market se alag ho sakte hain: real trading me bid–ask spread, slippage, achanak news, liquidity gaps aur costs hote hain. Isliye simulator me perfect dikhne wali strategy real paise me alag behave kar sakti hai.

Rule: hamesha label check karo. SmaartAlgos lessons me examples par “Hypothetical” ya “Simulated” likha hota hai.
